The younger generation has great enthusiasm and interest in regional development.

The younger generation has great enthusiasm and interest in regional development. The younger generation is also known for their great potential. Their desire to contribute is also evident, and it is this passion and potential that led IYD LC East Kalimantan to create the Comyouthnity program, a cross-sector program for young people to channel their potential towards society.

Young people from various professions, experiences, and educational backgrounds will devote themselves to sharing knowledge, enthusiasm, and experience with the community. Starting with short-term training programs and continuing to long-term mentoring. Education, environment, culture, diversity, language, science, MSMEs, and other topics closely related to community empowerment in East Kalimantan and Kalimantan are all included in the scope of empowerment.

Comyouthnity is run with the first phase of collaboration with cafes or restaurants in Samarinda City. The form of cooperation is that cafes and restaurants will collect plastic bottles and then the raw materials will be managed by IYD. In the second collaboration stage, IYD will invite local organizations to assemble plastic bottles into a trash can.

These recycle bins will be distributed on the peak day of the event to the surrounding communities whose areas are passed during plogging. Not only tangible benefits, this activity also aims to form an environmental community consisting of individuals who care about the environment and are ready to contribute to preserving the environment, especially through the process of working with local organizations in making bins. The formation of a strong environmental community will be a potential collaboration in protecting the environment, both through real action in the field and by sharing information and knowledge about environmental issues digitally.
