Research and Advocacy Division
The Research and Advocacy Division serves as the intellectual backbone of Indonesia Youth Diplomacy, providing the data-driven insights and analytical foundation for our mission. This division conducts in-depth research on key issues, translating complex information into strategic reports and policy briefs to fuel our advocacy efforts and shape informed public discourse.
Candidate General Requirements:
- Age 18 – 35
- Preferably residing in/coming from the Kalimantan Timur
- Have good communication skills in English
- Have strong interest and background in local empowerment and diplomacy
- Able to commit for one year term starting from July 2025 - 30 June 2026
Specific Requirement Research and Advocacy Division :
- Experienced in conducting research (qualitative and/or quantitative) and writing analytical reports, policy briefs, or strategic papers.
- Passionate and aware of social issues, public policy, or advocacy-related topics.
- Ability to read and interpret data, surveys, or policy documents.
- Excellent in writing and editing (Bahasa Indonesia and/or English), with proper referencing and structure.
- Having previous experience in advocacy campaigns, think tanks, research institutions, or journalistic writing is a plus.
Job desc :
- Conducts research and policy analysis related to the organization’s focus areas to support data-driven decision-making.
- Assists in organizing public discussions, policy forums, or stakeholder dialogues as part of the advocacy efforts in Local Chapter.
- Identifies and monitors key social, political, or economic issues relevant to the IYD Mission
- Documents, archives, and evaluates all research and advocacy activities for internal and external reporting.
